In space it seems to make more sense to have battles from further apart. Especially for cap ships. I think that small and medium fighter effective weapon range is okay. But large ships need to be able to fight it out at a larger distance. Larger ships are only effective and a range slightly longer than fighters?!? That's doesn't make too much sense. I think that large turrets and weapons should have a MUCH better range. Especially main batteries. Right now they are mostly under 8km I think it would be better if they were 20km for main batteries and maybe 15km for large turrets. Small and medium weapons can stay the same. Most missiles need to be doubled in range too.

20 km is too much imo. Only torpedoes and dumbfire missile should have that kind of range.Morleond wrote: ↑Tue, 12. Main battery should be 15km.
As about turrets, well it depends on the turret but they shouldn't be more than 15km (for L)

Range is kind of limited by the in attention mechanic. Having range longer than the in attention mechanic can be exploited by the player ship to damage enemies without them firing back which is not good for healthy gameplay.
In low attention L and XL ships are already over powered enough when equipped with all Plasma. The last thing they need is to be overpowered at even longer ranged.

hmm guess there is that issue. The big problem is that after a certain point combat just is kinda boring. The AI doesn't use any tactics. So it is constantly out witted by the player
