building the dock at PHQ

Looking for help. I am trying to build the dock on the phq. I have added the dock tot he station in the build section. I hired a construction ship. It is at the station. The trader have brought in all the material, It is all at the station, but that is as far as it will go. The Station showing 11:00 left and the construction is not starting. The only thing I see that looks off when I go to plan build, is the message there is no pier at this facility. Everything else looks good. Plenty of credit, no resources needed. A construction vessel assigned at the bottom. I can see the vessel right outside the station just sitting there. It just wont start building.

Yon can ignore the "pier" message. All that means (I was confused by the warning too) is you cannot YET dock large and extra large ships.

As far as getting a slow start... Yea that can happen. When enough materials arrive, it will eventually kick off. Take a look at the budget thingy for the station. Throw all the money you can afford into the construction slider. Try to equal the estimated costs at the far right. Eventually as the station gets processes and sales going, you'll be able to siphon money back out. Get some traders you control and traders the station controls and shove those profits into the station for a while.

So if you click Plan Build > Manage buy offers for needed resources, it says 0?

Likewise, if you go to Resources needed to complete changes, there's no wares?

If not, and you do have a builder assigned (and like you said, they're hovering around your station) then it does sound like a bug.

It must have been a bug. I logged out again, and this time when I logged back in suddenly the building started. Like half the other inexplicable thing in this game. Thanks though.
