Beam weapons generate heat if fire button held

Beam weapons fire for a few seconds, then shut off for a few more. However, if fire button is held during that shut off period, weapon temperature indicator is still crawling up.

This is intentional as far as I am aware. It generates the same if not less heat than letting go and firing again later because beam weapons have a huge immediate heat generation lump upon pressing the button.
