In my shipyard I have got 3/700 drones and that was because I made a mistake when transferring materials from one of my cargo's.
I thought that it might be that I needed a blueprint so I go to all of the faction reps and the only ones that I could get are for Gas collector or Mining.
I have got 2 drone component production.
One more quick one.
Do defence platforms require torpedo's to be replenished or are they unlimited.

Re: Drones problem
Cargo drones are missing in player shipyards, it seems. Both when specifying the build and upgrade/repair.
No info. on whether this is fixed in the next (beta) patch.

Thank's for that, any thoughts on the missiles on defence platforms?

Re: Drones problem
On the Logistics screen, you select the number of each missile you want that station to have, and if you want the manager to keep that number replenished or not.Scorpion1948 wrote: ↑Thu, 7. Mar 19, 22:57 Thank's for that, any thoughts on the missiles on defence platforms?
One would assume this means 1 missile used = 1 less missile available, and the manager has to restock it.

Re: Drones problem
Where drones and missiles are concerned, it seems the stocking/restocking logic is flawed in general.
IME the only time drones and missiles restock properly is when the station in question has production facilities for the required components. Even then it can be random in it's building of drones/missiles if you do not explicitly specify quotas and seems to ignore quota changes going forward after you have got into that situation.
I have a station that has a drone capacity of several 100 and the game engine filled up the drone capacity with Repair drones so now I am stuck with several hundred repair drones on that station and will have to manually off-load at least them at some point which is going to be incredibly tedious (currently a maximum of 20 drones at a time).
Another issue is that station based drones will not always return to the station after deployment and when you have 200+ of the defence drones operating on auto-launch behaviours the frame rate can really tank.

Re: Drones problem
Yes.. I have over 300 defence drones forming a 'British Square' around a station - lol.
Many other have docked in dock storage. One was 'surface' docked so I could sell it.
Given all the problems, beginning to think that Egosoft should seriously considering employing competent developers.
But then again, I forked over money for this and have enjoyed it, despite the many, many frustrating aspects/bugs.
My first X game. Very impressed overall. But until I found out that Ego had been around so long, I was beginning to think that the game might have been written by some brilliant amateur in his bedroom (ala Spectrum days) - so to speak.
