Game Version: 2.0 and 2.2 beta
Language: English
No mods, ever
DxDiag: https://pastebin.com/tvMeWXdL
Problem: A save file last played in version 1.6 will no longer load in version 2.0 or 2.2. The game will begin to load it but always gets stuck at 99%. Same happens with auto saves of the same play-through.
Things I have tried:
Starting a new game (Works)
Re-installing the game (Same issue)
Editing the save file to think it was saved in version 2.0 (Same issue)

Re: A saved game won't load
I hope you copied the save(s) before doing any edits. If so, please upload and link an unedited vanilla save with the issue here and the devs might check it out.
Just as a sanity check, these are not saves made with the 2.10 stability beta are they? We know that they probably won't work well (if at all) outside 2.10.
Have you verified the X4 gamefiles cache since the last update (if from Steam obviously)?
One of your X4 critical issues is reported as a graphics driver issue with nvoglv64.dll_unloaded. You may need to reinstall or even roll-back your graphics driver.
As a final piece of advice, I would get the latest Realtek driver for your Realtek onboard sound chipset rather than use that Microsoft generic driver, and I would disable all the other sound devices and drivers that you do not use in Device Manager, Sound/Audio Devices (right-click on a device in the listing to get an enable/disable pop-up).
Good luck.

Yes, of course; link to the save https://we.tl/t-yPNVsIZn7v
And no, I have not downloaded any beta version prior to testing 2.2 with this issue
Yes, I also tried verifying the game files, no issues were found

Re: A saved game won't load - Devs on the case
I have a similar issue, but I haven't done any beta...was playing the game and all was fine...the next morning I go to load it and none of my game files will actually get past 99%.
Nothing on the pc changed, unless there was a windows update that didn't require a reboot.

@ Mist Dragon: As you saw above, it took a link to a vanilla save before the devs could identify the issue. Please start your own thread and provide the information and links needed to assist the devs.
