As title.
No mods, using v2 that just came out. Been mining crystals got 1.4mill worth so went to see about buying a argon ship. Bought a nova medium spec with 2 extra crewmembers, click ok and build even tho needs engine parts about 200. So after clicking done i walk out of the shop on station wharf (argon prime) and watch some ships dock. Then the screen froze and its crashed to desktop.

We're going to need more information to have any chance of being able to trace this, as per the very first thread in this forum. At the very least we need a DXDiag and vulkaninfo, and the crashdump files from the game folder.

I looked there are no crash dump files in x4 folder or the x4 folder in my docs either.

Just happened again
This time i was using a autosave which it didnt save all that crystal mining btw grr..
So as i was bored i just found someone to pick on a paranid trade ship i think i used f2 view and held down a and s and i was safe from his turret fire by being under him and to his left and so in a blind spot anyhow knocked shields down eventually and got 20% of his hull then he bailed. So i thought id try capping it so started the tutorial, i got up went to panel clicked get in space suit and just as i exit the area of my ship where i leave in space suit. C2d.
Hmm i dunno whats going on but 2.0 seems prone to c2d compared to previous saves not that ive play alot of the game but i dont think i got c2d like this before in 2 seemingly random different situations.
Again theres no crash dmp files in x4 folder.

"Again theres no crash dmp files in x4 folder."
That may imply that it's not the game that's crashing but it's a device driver or something else. I would start with replacing/disabling that outdated Xonar sound driver that is not WHQL approved for Win10. Try using your onboard sound chipset instead (most probably Realtek) with an updated driver from the chipset manufacturer.
The one reported error with X4 in the DxDiag is not a fatal error, but you are having serious LiveKernelEvents and an AppCrash with NMS too. They could all be linked.

The crashdump files end up in the "wrong place" on my computer.
c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X4 Foundations
The information about locating .dmp files requires you to click through a couple of links in the first post and talks about X Rebirth which may lead some people to stop reading.

I'm not sure why you say that's the "wrong place". That's exactly where they are supposed to be; in the folder with the X4 executable file.

Yes, I know why the memory dump ends up in the same place as the executable. From a sysadmin point of view, the whole folder should be possible to make read-only. Then again, I've not done much sysadmin on Microsoft products.

@Skeeter: As peteran already suggested the most likely causes of no dmp-file being generated inside the X4 directory are issues for the game accessing the file location. Just double check that the directory is not restricted (f.e. by some "firewall" or antivirus system preventing the access to that folder; having explicitly marked it as read only; having enabled protected folders; just to name a few candidates).
Also usually you'll be redirected to a webpage with additional details regarding the crash and the state of having it resolved. If that's not happening, make sure that you didn't block access of the game to the internet through firewall settings.
If the crash is reproducible for you, maybe you can provide a step by step instruction for us trying to reproduce the crash?
