PS4 (DS4) controller support?

Is it possible to use a PS4 (DS4) controller with X4? (that is, without any external mapping software)

So far I have not been able to find a way to make this work. Xbone controller works fine, but I prefer using a PS4 controller when possible, since it's a better fit for my hands.
