Any fix for station traders?

Just wondering if there's a fix in the pipeline for station traders.

I've got a couple factories up and running, with a focus on building materials, smart chips and engine parts.

There's a solid 400-500k deficit in smart chips, but I've got L traders trading *9* smart chips at a time. (Not a typo). Meanwhile there's 16k smart chips sitting in my storage, and a Wharf and Shipyard *1* system over requiring a total of 100k smart chips. Yet the management/trader thinks *9* smart chips are going to do something.

Another factory has 2k engine parts, and a HOP system a few sectors over *desperately* requiring engine parts to function, but the other L trader decides it would be a good idea to sit and idle in space.

I've been having to manually trade just to keep the traders busy and actually doing something. It seems the station traders don't like Shipyards/Wharfs or are not setup properly to sell to them? Autotraders in the universe will, but station traders will not.

Also kindly allow drones or station traders to exchange stock from the Station to the Build Storage. As I swear 80% of my game is moving items to the build storage and queueing 10-15 trades for the L traders to do something.... :evil:

A couple of fixes for your issues.

Move your L trader to the sector with the Smart chip/ Engine deficit.
Assign them a 3 star captain and set the default behavior to Auto Trade.
Set the wares to Smart chips/ Engine Parts.
Buy Distance MAX(or wherever your station is).
Sell Distance 0.

This will force the trader to "Import" to that sector. It will see the large deficit and try to fill it. It may take a few trips if there are small orders vying for it's attention in that system but this is unlikely. I have this working successfully for Hull Parts in Holy Vision, 5 Shuyaku Sentinel with 55,200 capacity stay mostly full(depends on selling station having less that 2,200 Hull parts).

Thanks for the tip! It does seem to work for the most part.

Only thing is the station trader should be doing this once being assigned to a station.

And it's annoying as heck to buy and sell dozens of ships, just to move the few pilots over that manage to come up with 3 stars. Thought the whole point of stations was to use those 0-2.9 star pilots! :evil:
