I map my flight controls so it "behaves" like a ship: Joystick Y for pitch, joystick X for roll and rudder pedals for yaw. The roll and yaw axis are swapped by default.
So, I have configured the axis the way I want, I have saved my profile. The problem is every single time I change ships, the axis revert back to the default mode and I have have to go back into controls and change them back. I haven't verified if it is JUST these axis or the entire profile that is reverting back to default yet.
Needless to say, just because I switch planes does NOT mean I want to switch controls...
[1.50][BUG] Primary and Secondary steering axis revert on ship change - resolved, disable adaptive steering.

Re: [1.50][BUG] Primary and Secondary stearing axis revert back to default on ship chnage
I have this to my s ships fly normally but when I go to my L or XL the axis flip. I don't know if this is by design but it makes jumping from an L ship, to an s ship a relearning experience each time. i keep having to change the controls in settings.

I have this bug sometimes (but not always) when switching between ships, once even with the space suit.
My workaround is to assign a hotkey to switch roll and yaw (I'm using Ctrl-Z), so I don't have to go to settings.

from memory you have a setting somewhere called "Adaptive Steering" and it's purpose is exactly what was described here. Switch it off if I'm right (can't check right now).

Re: [1.50][BUG] Primary and Secondary stearing axis revert back to default on ship chnage
Thank you very much, it is exactly this!
The FAQ states that this is confusing and therefore turned off by default, but it seems it was on for me by default, maybe from the Thrustmaster FCS+HOTAS profile?
When do ships ROLL when do they steer left / right?
You can choose what you prefer: Either you map always "left right" (aka yaw=primary steering) or always "roll" (=secondary steering) to your controller or mouse, OR you have a game option called "adaptive steering" which looks at the current ship maneuverability and maps whichever of these two axis is faster. That can however be a bit confusing when teleporting from the one type to the other, that's why this option is turned off by default in input settings. (Mouse controls can only be changed between primary steering, which is default, OR adaptive steering).
