Problem!
Station is producing too many Energy cells and has filled all the storage. This has halted production of the station (food) as they have nowhere to put product.
Is there a way to stop Energy cells being produced, I don't want to delete the module from the station.
As food was sold off , EC's quickly filled the storage till there was no storage left. Effectively strangling the station.
Is there a way to balance production?

I have not seen a way of suspending the production of Energy Cells. What I did was dismantle one of the solar panels. I also reduced the price I was selling the Energy cells by going into logical overview and amend the selling price below the market rate. I also assigned two transport ships to sell the excess energy cell to other factions factories that had demand for them

I thought stations reserved space for each ware, or at least, it's supposed to. In my station, it's "full" of Energy Cells, the bar is full, yet there's still ample space for the output, which has grown two fold while the Energy Cells are been "full".
As an aside, there should be a "stop production" for every module to allow better management.
Scoob.

What I really would like to see is being able to set limits for each specific ware yourself.
There is little point in caching 500k Energy Cells when they're being produced all the time anyway. Give me the control of how storage ought to be managed. I would rather have that storage space be utilized for real product / resources. Sure you can shoot yourself in the foot doing that but you can do that anyway. Upon building the station it could just auto manage like it does now (minus the issues ofc) but I should have the option in Logical Overview to change the storage limits as I see fit.

X:BtF: 7/10 | X2: 8/10 | X3:R/TC/AP: 8/10 | X:R: 3/10 | X4: 0/10 (3 points for split ships and stations, 4.0 -> -50 points).
If you are raising pirate activity, give me meaningful ways to deal with them PERMANENTLY. Better things to do than replacing ships every 10 minutes, or babysitting ships getting harassed.
Stopped playing X4 with 4.0 due to outrageous, needless and pointless nerfs to everything. Don't change what wasn't broken in the first place.

Put a L storage more to it? Maybe your Energy cells produce too fast.
The manager should reserve a % for everything. If you increase the storage the cells should stop producing once they reach that.

Re: Station Strangled by its self.
I think it’s right about allocated space, EC’s are full to the brim, even with a trader trying to get rid of the stuff. There is plenty of space for the other products to fill, yet the station is barely moving. I have changed the manager, given tons of cash to the station.
Yet the staff numbers have not risen above 42 with a capacity of 750.
Just out of ignorance, when building the station I put in 3 x L container, 3 x L Solid, 3 x L liquid. This ought to cover whatever I have missed.
Is there a relation between habitation modules, and staff.
The station is in Unholy Retribution, with Pirinid habitation models. So Soja Husk’s should feed them.
The station has plenty of ICE to make water, yet the water production is at 0% !
I think its the lack of staff, as they go in and out of shift so production stops.
But how to activate getting more staff ? Normally they slowly trickle in. But not on this station. !

It really depends on how many traders you have assigned to the station or how much wares you trade out yourself. I have a complex with maybe two dozen production modules and have just one large and one medium container and 1 medium of solid and liquid.
To be clear, you don’t actually need staff (except a manager) for your station to function. If you provide habitation, you will grow a work force. All this does is increases your production efficiency. Your station workforce will slowly grow over time so long as you have food and medical supplies in stock. So make sure you provide your manager with enough money to buy them.
You may not be seeing things produced because either your traders have already sold them or they’ve simply not been made yet. Wares are produced in large batches, which be over a long period of time. They are not produced one at a time every minute

Setting limits per ware would be really useful though.....

Re: Station Strangled by its self.
Dead station still not doing anything now for there days, so have dismantled it.
Just rebuilt the Water and the storage. Now station is working!
Although there is a crash issue!
When doing the storage load-out, and then saving the game crashes. This happened three times, so aborted the load-out stage and game save ok.
Me thinks a bug is at work !

Re: Station Strangled by its self.
I have a problem with the HOA small ship builder. It like it dose not eat the food when delivered. Also the auto call for food is not keeping up with food for Pirinid habitation models. Is what I have seen. I had a argon station before modding was not allowed. Ran great had worked up to building may own station parts.
