Changing station destroys docked ships

Post by XGamer »

Redid the Venture Platform on my PHQ after the voyage completed. As such I flew the ship from the venture platform to the main dock myself, rearranged the venture dock, assigned a construction vessel, confirmed the changes and teleported to my main ship (which the AI was flying to where I needed to be next in the meantime). Checked back about an hour later, only to see the ship I flew to the main dock myself was gone, checked logs to see it was destroyed... :gruebel: :rant:

So it seems like redoing any part of the PHQ will kill stuff parked at the main dock (1M6S in this case). Have not yet explicitly tested other (regular) stations.

The same thing happens if you deconstruct the dock, which will also terminate all the ships in it after about 50% of deconstruction. It should just order all the docked ships to undock as deconstruction begins and just dump them into space before terminating them if they didn't all manage to undock by then.

You can also just deconstruct the module which you yourself are inhabiting, which will make for a minute or two of funny visual effects as it deconstructs and the walls get more and more holes in them, allowing you to see into space. After about 50% of deconstruction, it will just dump you into space without a space suit, once that happened the game will take about 45 seconds or so to realize and bring you back to the main menu.
X:BtF: 7/10 | X2: 8/10 | X3:R/TC/AP: 8/10 | X:R: 3/10 | X4: 0/10 (3 points for split ships and stations, 4.0 -> -50 points).
If you are raising pirate activity, give me meaningful ways to deal with them PERMANENTLY. Better things to do than replacing ships every 10 minutes, or babysitting ships getting harassed.
Stopped playing X4 with 4.0 due to outrageous, needless and pointless nerfs to everything. Don't change what wasn't broken in the first place.
