[REQUEST] Escort & Follow

Hello.
I would like to request a mod which would merge these two commands into one. Reason being that whenever I tell my ships to escort me, they always venture somewhere far away from me and will avoid using travel mode. I have to manually tell them to follow me at which point they will switch to travel mode but will not attack any enemies until said otherwise.
This crazy amount of micromanagement is making fleet control extremely annoying.

What I am asking for is a simple mod which would switch between follow & escort based on the "Engagement distance" which would be something over 20KM.
