[REQUEST] Keep Inventory Items Floating in Space

Inventory items floating in space will vanish the moment the player leaves the system. It would be fantastic if these items would not vanish if within radar range of any player owned asset. It this MOD were available, it would couple very nicely with the existing MOD which allows player owned AI ships to gather drops upon player command and send to player's inventory.

I don't think this is possible, every game that I played so far has it that once the player leaves the sector any items floating in space get removed. I think it's just the way the game is coded, I could be wrong though and one of the modders here can chime in on it.
