Adding context menu item in map

Is there a way to alter context menus in map interface? I'd like to add a context menu item when clicking on a ship and attach an action to it. I've tried searching the extracted files for exact phrases from some of the context menus but am not finding anything useful, just something that looks like it might be encyclopedia entry.
