To people who've played the 1.5 Beta
Is the economy issues fixed? I'm just curious because as of 1.32 the game is unplayable for me, unable to purchase any ships past the first 5 hours, and I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs with the big urge to play the game but can't until it actually works. Also curious if there is just more combat in general. Flying around for hours only to find the occasional xenon is kinda boring.

Nope. At least not in an ongoing game, a new save might be better (but I wouldn't count too much on it: if I stop supplying myself huge quantities of engine parts and smart chips, all but a couple shipyards/wharves will very soon stop producing, so it seems they still aren't delivered and that's shouldn't change whether you are in a new game or not).
As for combat... it's pretty much like 1.32, not many changes there, but Xenon activity resurfaced decently in 1.32 already, on border sectors there's the frequent K incursion. They just never last long because Xenon ships are balanced to be way WORSE than other race's ones.

Ah, darn that's upsetting to hear. Guess I'm gonna have to wait a bit longer until I can play then. :cKadatherion wrote: ↑Mon, 17. Dec 18, 19:34 Nope. Did the ships getting stuck causing massive frame rate drops get fixed in 1.5 beta 2 that was released today?

Yes, that's 90% of what beta2 does: rollback of the two things that caused the ships getting stuck/fps drops/freezes, and just a couple of other little new fixes. Everything else is like beta1, no patch notes about anything being different between beta1 and beta2 concerning the economy issue with shipyards.

Re: To people who've played the 1.5 Beta
Thanks, well that a plus at least. I may opt back into it this evening then since I'm just basically noodling around in the game until the economy gets fixed - beta 1 was an unplayable slideshow.Kadatherion wrote: ↑Mon, 17. An odd thing happened just before bed in my 1.32 save. I was tinkering around with stations and I used the cheat menu to fill all it's storage. Suddenly it looked like grand central station, I had swarms of AI traders come swooping in. Almost all of them interested in buying... graphene? Might not mean anything either way, but definitely a wtf is going on moment.

Economy has worked fine for me since 1.3. I have 5 Stations, 3 of which actually trade/make product and almost $4 billion in trades completed since 1.3...not million....billion. Not sure what you are doing wrong man.

Re: To people who've played the 1.5 Beta
Not sure if its because of anything I did but, I am playing 1.50.2 and like a week ago my economy was pretty stale...nobody really buying anything, just selling and a couple of wharfs/shipyards would get stuck for a bit because of low supplies. 1 week later and theres a lot of war going on as well as a hefty toll that HOP empire has been paying from me stealing their construction ships and freighters. My economy seems to be being stimulated. Although not seeing many Xenon other than raiding parties on the outskirts of sectors but I havent really been going into their sector at all other than initially exploring it a bit. If you do switch to beta be sure to back up that save! Im stuck here lol but its all good. I'll restart the game if i ever switch to non beta i guess.

I had to delete everything due to the AI docking bug, But I noticed that ships were being made and traders were running around.

Since 1.3 my traders have been bringing in more credits but where I really noticed a difference is my factories. I have around 2 billion credits now and can't seem to spend it fast enough.

Re: To people who've played the 1.5 Beta
I have a massive station that produces everything but wheat, meat and water. If I would have thought it through i wouldnt have done that. Realizing now that the game is coded for memory usage. Everytime I try to get info on this massive production station my comp freezes up. I have a good system AMD 1900x processor, 32 gigs of ram, and a RX 580 gpu. Was thinking that maybe some of the modules in the game are coded for memory limitations. I really wish I wouldnt have built this massive production station.

Not sure what you mean "manually babysitting"? You are 5 hours in to a game, can't make money and can't find enough combat? How many Sectors have you discovered? Are you are war with any Factions? Have you found the KHK and Xen home Sectors?
What are you doing to make money?

Re: To people who've played the 1.5 Beta
Playing 1.5 beta 2 here.
I wanted to buy a Nemesis from the Paranid Wharf in Trinity Sanctum but there was a heavy shortage of Engine Parts and there were 6 other ships in queue in front of mine so I couldn't really do it.
However it was the only shipyard to have such issues, most Argon and Teladi ones were stocked fine and I could buy whatever ship I wanted.
I'm fine witht this, it makes sense that a faction in war isn't overflowing with resources.
What I did was buy two argon traders and send them on repeat trade runs to stock the shipyard with engine parts. After a while my order went through and I now have my nice Nemesis.
I guess the system is working fine.

Re: To people who've played the 1.5 Beta
game has worked fine for me since 1.32. the Teladi warf got an influx in ship orders to the extent that they ran out of engine parts. there were like 6 ships in the queue, this was a perfect opportunity to make a fortune trading engine parts in my voyage to get my ship i needed at the time built. I have 2 stations built so far, one just got finished and I had no problem getting the parts I needed to build it without manually sending my ship. Xenon are all over the border systems, and so much so in 1 area that I have to send my courier to plant a new satellite at the gate almost daily. There was a Xenon cap ship hobbling it's way through profit center alpha not even 30 minutes after patching to 1.32. Are you sure you're not just mistaking the economy now working as broken because stations are running out of supplies from the influx in AI buying? I delivered probably 2000 engine parts to the station before I noticed other ships were also delivering parts. I'm using the same save I was from 1.0. Not meaning to insult anyone if I come off that way.

Oh no the save I was on was much farther then 5 hours. Just the shipyards are drying out after five hours with every new start. That's why I stopped because it's currently broken.Bellatormonk wrote: ↑Tue, 18. Dec 18, 00:33 Not sure what you mean "manually babysitting"? And I was trying to make money the way I did in my 500+ hours in X3, shooting things. But fighting things in this only gets you a pittance of credits and ONLY if they are near a station so you have to lure enemies to stations first. Sadly the only real way to make money with "combat" is shooting mines or laser turrets that don't fire back. My first save I went from the discoverer to a frigate without ever even seeing a xenon (pre-1.32)

Personally, what i want to see in 1.5 (or ASAP) is more action!
The whole universe feels safe. My freighters barely ever get attacked, i rarely need to use my weapons.
Yes, Some Xenon do pup up every now and then in the places that have jumpgates to their systems. But other than that, i dont see much action.
I hope they improve this soon.
