So for anyone who has explored Pious Mists IV, who knows there is a Kha'ak station there...
The sector often has small and medium Kha'ak ships attacking the Paranid stations
I have sent a fleet there to fight off the bad guys. However after hours of intermittent combat, it appears that the Kha'ak ships spawn out of nothingness, in places that are not even close to their station
Is there something I am missing there, like a gate that has yet to be discovered by expanding the sector?
Because unlike the Xenon fronts in Teladi/Hatikvah/HOP sectors where I can station defenses at the gate, I haven't yet managed to stop the Kha'ak attacks in Pious Mists IV
Kha'ak stations can't be destroyed yet by the way. So I want to deal with their ships at the point where they are entering the map.

Kha'ak ships spawn with no simulated economy, this is confirmed.

generally they only have 2 spawn points if i remember right.
1) in the vecinity of their stations (usually in groups of 4-5 ships)
2) in random encounters
also one should never forget, khaak ships can do point jumps without gates, so they partly do have a reason to semingly come out of nowhere.

that.. if they have enough range ... or just give your ships a escorte. at least for my mining ships and trading ships that one works. each one has 5-10 pulsar flying with them on defense.Invasion wrote: ↑Mon, 17. The spawns/attacks never seem strong enough to cause the Paranid Stations any real harm or danger. If anything they serve to disrupt trade providing the player an opportunity for endless KHK loot and to pick up the slack on lost trade ships.

i think the problem is more that his ships keep on getting atacked and maybe dieing to khaak, since they are quite strong compared to Xenon (kyon emitter master race)Bellatormonk wrote: ↑Mon, 17. I don't have any miners or traders in that sector. Just want to stop all the attrition happening that is causing my ship orders to get stuck in queue.
And yes I am producing and selling engine and hull parts
