Couple of Questions?
First I would like to know how to cause my captain to auto-pilot my vessel? I have selected a destination, talk to the captain, and ask her to continue with mission. The ship will just sit there and not respond. Surely I am doing something wrong? Secondly, if i have the gog version of the game can I access the beta patches? Thanks you captains.

Re: Couple of Questions?
I dont knkw if you can just stand in your ship and tell your captain to do something. You can use the auto pilot though while you are sitting in the ship. Shift+a will get you going. So if you are doing a mission with a way point or you make your own by right clicking and set destination. Just shift a, you ship starts flying there. Do shift 1 to enter travel mode to go faster.
No idea on your second question.

Re: Couple of Questions?
go to the map, left clip the ship, so it's selected. then right click on the ship, and select remove all orders. Now, with the ship still selected, go to the section of the map you want him to go to, right click, and tell him what action to perform there.

Re: Couple of Questions?
You can indeed have your pilot/captain fly for you while you stand right behind them in the cockpit Picard style. I have noticed sometimes the orders can get "frozen" as if its waiting for you to give a signal to the pilot, similar to when you tell a pilot to undock from a station that you care currently standing on. I often have to use the order priority to temporarily shuffle orders or as somebody else said to remove all orders and send it again.
However this makes me think of an additional point it would be cool if you could setup orders for your ships with waypoints that required signals to proceed. Could be an interesting way to coordinate multiple ships or fleets so that they both start doing something at the same time synchronized.

Re: Couple of Questions?
So it could be a bug then? Was able to find the answer to my second question regarding gog beta patch access. Thanks for the reply.
What about station scanning? It seems like a very tedious process. I've heard it also requires a spacewalk to complete? Forgive me as I did not play much of rebirth.GOG Galaxy
Make sure that your savegames are backed up!
Select X4: Foundations in your GOG Galaxy game collection.
Click on "More > Settings"
On the right hand side of the page, click on "Beta Channels: OFF" and select "ON"
Click on the "Channel" option and select "Add Private Channels"
Enter the password for the "Public Beta" channel: IBackedUpMySaves
Select the "Public Beta" channel.
To return to using the non-Beta version, click on the "Channel" dropdown and select "default"

Re: Couple of Questions?
Sometimes after i take the seat from the captain and then hand the ship back they dont move again. I usually left click then right click on the ship in property menu and click Proceed with current order

Re: Couple of Questions?
Depends how much info you require about a station. It is simpler in the sense that you don’t need to hunt the “info dots” ,flying close to a module in scan mode normally unlocks it.However for me a 100% unlock only occurred after a spacewalk and using the suit scanner.Dungeoncrawler wrote: ↑Mon, 17. Re: Couple of Questions?
I believe you only need to scan any storage modules, in a spacesuit, to get 100%... everything else you should be able to scan by ship.
