So I just restarted. Too many bugs in my first game so thought I would start a fresh game on 1.3x update.
Any way. .... set up ore silicon in argon prime. Ok. Nice money coming in.
Set up nividium... filled up and sat in space. Increased gate range to 8... just sat there.
So I sent him to the shipyard to sell him off with full load.... how do you sell ships.
Ended up dumping the cargo and letting him silicon mine.

Re: 1.3 Nividium
To sell a ship, select it, right click the shipyard/wharf on map, pick "Sell ship". But they won't pay you for the cargo hold contents when selling the ship anyway. So what to do with Nividium is unclear at the moment.

Re: 1.3 Nividium
Intresting. Well, i 1.32 started save game and I have 2 L miners working Nividium (with max 14 gates traver) and they are imho quite profitable and certainly working.
Hell lot of the time they spent just traveling to trading ports, but still its working for me.

Re: 1.3 Nividium
Stations that will buy Nividium at the moment are:
Argon Trading Stations in The Void and Black Hole Sun V
Hatikvah's Free League Trading Station in Hatikvah's Choice I
Teladi Trading Stations in Grand Exchange III, Ianamus Zura IV and Hewa's Twin I
Total of 6 stations, no other station buys Nividum. Furthermore, Nividium isn't used for anything so once a station has it's fill, you won't be able to sell anymore there. Once all 6 are full, Nividium becomes dead weight.
For now, Nividium can only serve one purpose, a starting budget to get you off the ground and into the mid-game earlier than otherwise. There are faster ways to make lots of money, but it's a good way to get started with a steady and solid income if you'd rather spend the entire early game just exploring instead of doing missions, managing a station (Teladi start) or going after crystals.

Re: 1.3 Nividium
In the trend below you can see the behavior of a Nividium miner vs a Silicon miner in a somewhat healthy economy.
The silicon miner was constantly slow money in, and at the end had made a total of 6.7M (the red line). The Nividium miner put a total of 21M and the straight lines in it's trend is because the marked was saturated, when I found another station they automatically resume selling. After I found them out, the market never recovers.
So, yeah, in every game I set up at least 1 Nividium medium miner so I can get a steady amount of money to buy other miners to put mainly in Ore and Silicon.
