Main mission series breaking bug

On Escape Plan objective 5: Escort: Ship out of sector the ship im escorting stopped moving and wouldnt leave the sector. Restarting the game from the beginning did not fix this issue. Scanning the ship indicated its order was changed to wait. How can I get the ship to continue?

Same happened to me, after several tries i decided to destroy the ship instead of waiting for it to move on, what could go possibly wrong.
And yes it worked just fine, ship blew up and i got the next mission part to continue with.

Excellent idea to blow the ship up.
I did this after the update to version 2.20 of the game. The ship blew up and a new ship spawned for me to escort and the mission continued.
