Humorous Ship Names
Got bored with the ship names and decided to get creative. Anyone else got any funny ship names?

I like Culture / Interdependency-style ship naming, so some of the originals I have are "This Page Intentionally Left Blank", "Don't Come Crying to Me", "But It's a Dry Heat", and "I Told You Never To Call Me Here".

i think iam the most boring person of all... i dont name ships, except the main ships i fly myself... and even then, the naming is nothing special.

I use a similar style to this.

Re: Humorous Ship Names
My ship names aren`t humourous. They usually come from ancient warrior stuff or ancient fantasy stories.
1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

I had 3 mining ships: Iron Walrus, Radium Renegade, and Miner Damage.
The Teladi are known for creating a standardized currency, ship insurance, and insurance fraud.

Thus far my favorites have been the freighter named False Profit and a colossus I've named the Undestroyable II.

Re: Humorous Ship Names
Hmmm, I was about to rename all my ships so they sort better. But now my plan seems lame. Somehow naming all my S fighters "A" corvettes "B" etc. etc. seems less fun then "Asshat 0001", "Banana Hammock 0002" and "Can not believe this is butter, no really what is this? 0003".
You have given me ideas, terrible terrible ideas.

Good idea, though I kind of like the order of devestation, e.g. the collossus (M1) beginning with A, like "Agrivator" followed by numeral, , the m2 ( behemoth) with B, like "Bezerker", the cerberus with C, like "Carver", etc...

This is the only way I can think to organize the whole list. I would not rename anything (its a pain and not very user friendly) if I could sort that list, but I will work with what I have.waynetarlton wrote: ↑Sun, 16. Anyone have any other ideas? I was also thinking of re naming based off of the task force the ship is in. As in, "Task force A, the mining miners 0001" "Task force A, the mining miners 0002", "Task force B, the laser bunch 0001" ect.

For orginisation in x3 they had auto-name but it was a bit confusing so I used to call my Universe traders UniTrad Merc. Van. or UniTrad Vult. Sent. etc. But that got a bit boring especially once they were set up well and I didnt really need to interact with them.
