Traders NOT Work

Post by LanGeDok »

Traders who must trade in the universe trade at a maximum of two transitions. For about 20 hours of their lives, none have received a single level. At the same time, each of them has autotrading at a distance of 14 transitions.
The merchant of the L-class with a hold of 40k cubic meters makes deals for 400-3800 cubic meters. At the same time in the world a huge number of very profitable deals for the full hold. But they can be done exclusively by hand.
My station produces engine parts. After two gates from it is the port, which is constantly lacking engine parts. The price at my station is minimal (480 credits). The port buys them at 715-719 credits. Neither the NPC traders nor those assigned to my station fly. Manually you can make a deal. Why is that?

Merchants believe that it is more profitable to make a deal for 100 credits, but in their sector. How to fly at least to the next and make a deal for 1kk credits. They fly exclusively with the shortest paths in priority. In my world, paranid shipyards all the time require engine parts. But not a single merchant flies to buy them, because you can resell a couple of dozen of refined metals at home.
Xenons are beating the whole race, they have a lot of ships being repaired, there are huge orders of goods at shipyards, not a single trader even scratches in that direction.
