So in my quest to make the PHQ a fully self-sufficient complex ready to bolt-on shipbuilding modules when they're released I now need a fleet of miners acquiring every single resource, so I have acquired a fleet of miners and assigned them to the PHQ. All well and good so far, they correctly go out, mine, and come back and drop off their wares.
However, the default behaviour automatically adds every mineral/gas ware needed by the station to the miners' list, which seem to then try and find the closest resource to mine and bring back, rather than prioritising by what the station has the least of; this results in my PHQ being full of hydrogen, and completely lacking helium and methane because they're only available further away.
I've tried making specialist vessels by removing some of the wares to force it to focus on certain ones, but the auto behaviour seems to add those wares back automatically shortly afterwards.
Does anybody know how to make this work, limiting the wares so I can set one miner to simply keep mining methane for the station and dumping it there reliably?
Failing that, as a workaround is there a way to make autominers that aren't associated with a station only trade with your own stations? I can't seem to find a "restrict trade with other factions" option for autominers.
Right now I'm having to manually command every single mining run just so my station doesn't run out of resources, which is a bit maddening!

Re: Station Autominers: Limit Wares?
I have 3 Miners going out in auto, and they reliably keep my stock full ?
It takes a while, but so far the worst issue I had was that if my stock was full they tended to fill up and then hang around the field, which I solved with the default “stay docked“ command ( and by adding enough docking space for M class ships ) ...
Sure its an issue to simply let the station manager sort it out ?

Well the OP's issue seems to be that the miners will gather everything.LordFlinx wrote: ↑Sat, 15. Dec 18, 06:35 I have 3 Miners going out in auto, and they reliably keep my stock full ?

So, if he only has an ore processing facility (for instance) his solid storage will eventually be clogged with silicon and ice, and miners would no longer have anyplace to drop off ore.

May god have mercy on your soul.
Based on your problem...
Assign more miners.
I have 8 medium mineral miners and 2 large mineral miner assigned to my station along with 12 medium gas miners. My gas stays full. but my ore/silicon/ice is all 50% and below, but never 0.
Sooooo just get more miners.

Exactly at this point I disagree:zakaluka wrote: ↑Sat, 15. Dec 18, 07:36Well the OP's issue seems to be that the miners will gather everything.LordFlinx wrote: ↑Sat, 15. Dec 18, 06:35 I have 3 Miners going out in auto, and they reliably keep my stock full ?

I originally only needed Silizium, and so the miners only fetched Silizium...
And now that I need all resources they fetch what is needed.
Sure, they do not sell surplus anywhere, but thats not an issue as you can always use some not affiliated miners to generate a cashflow.
