Auto trade Galaxy command gone?
Has anyone noticed if the auto trade command is gone in there game after the beta update? None of the traders i buy have it listed in the right click menu.

Yep. Theory is you will need to get those Capt up to Star 3 to make use of the Default Commands now instead of bypassing with the "Right click anywhere and profit with 0 Star Capts" function.

Why would anyone think this is a good idea? Do they not see how much harder they just made the game for a new player to figure out? The amount of micro managing it would take to get a capt to three stars is unreal. Not to mention Iv been playing for 60 hrs and just now started to figure this stuff out and just now started to make some money. Now you throw this cure ball at me and make it even harder to make money, to make trading a micromanaging aspect of the game. So what am not suppose to have a trade fleet? Do i take these twenty new traders i just bought and do what with them? control them all individually for who knows how long? It really bothers me that they took this function out, made the game that much harder and added even more required micromanaging. Does no one see this?

Agreed, which is why I installed a mod that flips it to zero stars.

WHat's the name of that mob? If you don't mind posting it, I would like to use it. Also my miners can still be set to auto mine from the beginning and make money. So why can't my traders auto mine from the beginning and make money?

Yeah, this makes no sense in-universe or as a player. As a player, all it does is ass a whole new level a micromanagement that's necessary in order to get at the things that are good about the game. I do not want to sit here for 40 hours training traders just so they can do their job by themselves.
Which is why it makes no sense in-universe. If someone is intelligent enough to pilot a space ship, then they're smart enough to load up on Soja Husks at one station and unload them at another. Maybe low-level pilots should have the possibility of trading at a loss, since they lack skill - but you cannot tell me they lack a basic understanding of how to operate the ship they're flying, like docking, undocking, manupulating their cargo door, and using onboard computers (i.e. the trade computer to find the offers).
Most importantly, though, it makes the game less fun. I do not want to play X3/XR in X4. Do not. If I wanted X3/XR, I'd go play X3/XR. I want my automation back. PLEASE tell me it's a bug.

This was never the case, right click auto-trade galaxy allowed your pilot to start small and work their way up. They would only jump 2 sectors to make trades at first and as their skill grew so did their distance. So there was a time sink involved with new captains where they were making crap profit.Bellatormonk wrote: ↑Fri, 14. Dec 18, 23:42 Yep. I do not want to have to micro manage 4 or more traders when in every other X2+ game that wasn't the case. trade software mk2 - mk3 was a thing. Not to mention there is no all ware button to add allware to a trader you're setting to autotrade now. I would rather have it set all and then remove those I want instead of spending 10 mins choosing what to trade per ship.
I am hoping this is a bug as patrol is also missing along with a few other right click commands. I guess they didn't want you just being able to right click patrol on an unskilled pilot. Oh, wait patrol doesn't require skilled pilots, silly me...
