Re: So when is the next beta experimental update?
Some of the things they are probably working to fix right now I would imagine can be quite complex to fix, test, re-fix, re-test etc.
We'll get the next update when it's ready. Asking for it isn't going to make it come any sooner, Egosoft are definitely working on delivering resolutions to the current known issues as soon as they can.
There is plenty of stuff in the game that does work absolutely fine, so maybe just try to avoid those areas you know are currently requiring some work until they get some TLC.

Hope we get it soon™ but thankfully I like to play it slow so have enough to do for the next 250 hours... dang you traders, I will prevail!

I play a slow game too... take my time. Not even got a fully built Station yet and only 2 Freighters selling stuff. I spend most of the time guarding my Freighters and rescuing them from trouble with my wingman.

2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

Its fine, I just got a little rattled before.
From a simple curiosity from my side as I got sort of used to the 2-3day update, seemed like I was attacking Egosoft :/
Slow....... yeah I'm really slow this X game. Yeah hopefully soon, thats why I posted this, as I was looking forward just wanted a rough eta.

Same here, I don't even have seta and not going to bother with it as travelling is easy with the highways, faster ship speeds and a pretty well layed out gate system.Socratatus wrote: ↑Fri, 14. I guess we get one today, 1.4 likely. Then we can find new bugs over the weekend they will fix before Christmas.

Re: So when is the next beta experimental update?
My guess is, this time they wanted to take a few more days to avoid having what's happened before with the war/economy issues, they thought they hotfixed one thing and then turns out it wasn't because of further issues down the line (increased the war logic ----> still didn't happen because shipyards would not produce ships; made shipyards working again -----> they still stop down the line because of the engine parts issue). I'm fine with that, these issues are complicated and several variables come into play, each time the reports are confused and sometimes not very consistent as we can only guess the cause from indirect observation, which wastes a lot of time. Even if we go straight to 1.5, as long as it's relatively stable with no obvious surprises that could have been avoided with just one extra day of testing, it's good.

I just want to know if we got one today cause if not it's probably gonna go straight to 1.5 next week. That way I'll stop waiting and go play another game

Do these mods also fix the problem of turrets and AI continuing to shoot for nearly 2 min at a death ship? Because thats my real grief in combat atm...Zhukov1945 wrote: ↑Fri, 14. Dec 18, 15:21

It's a feature, not a bug. They need to be sure the target is dead.DeFragMe wrote: ↑Fri, 14. Dec 18, 15:57Do these mods also fix the problem of turrets and AI continuing to shoot for nearly 2 min at a death ship? Because thats my real grief in combat atm...Zhukov1945 wrote: ↑Fri, 14. Dec 18, 15:21

Re: So when is the next beta experimental update?
I don`t mind when it keeps shooting at a dead target. It`s a target fixation and adrenalin that happens in real life. Sometimes it`s to make sure the target is down even after it looks dead. However, 2 minutes is way too long. Realistically it`s more like 5 seconds or so after the target is down.

Re: So when is the next beta experimental update?
in my battle today (killing everything in faulty logic I with 100 Behemoths), 85 ships either never atacked (neither turrets or main gun, except i told them) or decided to just ram the enemy to no end without firying their weapons. the last 15 that actually fought, well, 5 of them changed targets and fought, 10 of them usually were still busy shooting wreakages untill i told them to do something else.Socratatus wrote: ↑Fri, 14. Alos Ai is somehow unable to work with the 3D enviroment... as i was ataking a defense station they made a circle (max height around 1km) and shot at the thing. most of them couldnt shoot because they found no way around , while nearly all space above and below was empty. Also strangely the 2 ships that where above the station, did nothing, even when i told them to atack.... maybe they just cant tilt downwards/upwards on their own to atack?
