HOTAS configuration/settings?
My Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS is being recognized fine, and the throttle works great, but the mappings are all off: the joystick just controls strafe, fire is "right twist", etc. Is there a way to configure these settings? I don't see any in the game's settings menus.

Re: HOTAS configuration/settings?
I'm just now setting up my SAITEK X52 and all those were default settings for me as well.
Going into the menu for Controls and first GENERAL you will see most of those basic settings. The lists are very long so you may have to scroll quite a way to find where that that stick twist is currently set at.
I haven't played my X3-TC in years and looks like X4 will take a lot of tweaking to get my finger memory back to where it was.

Aha - I now see them - thanks! What's a good setting for strafe for a stick?spooidz wrote: ↑Thu, 13. Dec 18, 23:27 I'm just now setting up my SAITEK X52 and all those were default settings for me as well.

Looks like a lot more choices I have to make with X4 compared to X3.
It isn't seeing the extra buttons on my Throttle yet, but when I figure that out I'll prob pick something on my throttle, maybe a rotating dial or a mini-joystick button.
If you want twist on joystick you'll prob have to give up twist for roll which is what I like.

Hi, Spooidz ,
I have an X52 Saitek also, just a quick question,
How do you react in a space suit.
I have a terrible experience, constantly spinning and rolling around virtually uncontrollable,
I absolutely hate having to go into space because of it.
It's the worst thing about this game how do you set it up OK?
Thankz in Advance.
Mojo.

Re: HOTAS configuration/settings?
In a space suit there are no automatic systems to counter your thrusters to stop you from spinning or strafing. You need to do that yourself. Small and controlled stick movement. Get to the attitude you desire and counter
manually.
I don’t think there is any other way. Control scheme doesn’t matter in this case I imagine.
