Hey Guys,
Is there a way that this can be modded in? I can't seem to find a button for it in the game, and also I can seem to find a function in modding to get a ship moved to internal storage.
What I am referring to is either on a station or a M+ sized ship with a external dock for another ship, if you dock another ship on a ship/station that has all current platforms occupied, the ship that is currently on the docking pad will be moved to internal storage until it has orders to go somewhere else, or you manually call it out of internal storage. (The animation for this looks SO AMAZING as well)
Thanks in advance if anyone knows how to do this/it has already been done!

Re: [Request] Move Docked Ship to Internal Storage
I definitely want this and I've seen several threads around asking if this is possible. Drones currently behave this way, so maybe there is a way to get the game to treat non-player ships docking with a larger ship as drones. Although if it's hard-coded then it might not be possible.
This is on my list of things I'd like to see changed and I'm seriously considering getting into modding this game so I might try making this mod. No promises though.

I don't think every dock has an internal storage which is why you can be forced to queue for a slot - especially in M class ships.
There are npc docks which are exceptionally large and these can be both open and closed and they have internal storage, yet there are many others which don't have storage i,e some small stations - that or the traffic is so insignificant they never need to store your ship.
But i digress, a ui element to start the process for a ship going into storage would be a nice feature to have and i agree with the OP, the animation and sounds of having your ship come out of storage is pretty cool.
