Moving to Unselectable object with your ship (grey marked items)

Hi.. i have tried a lot of things but may i do something wrong ..i also looked on YouTube ans the wiki and did not find a definite solution.

If there is an object say in an asteroid field like load-stone/space flies-astroid on your scanned map that is grey in color and you are way above or below it at an angle depending how you rotate the map .. i find it very hard (or maybe there is a simple solution) to set a path to it and it seems always in the wrong direction lol .. the only way i could sort of get to it is to fly over the item on the map (say it is under me then press down or up to move to it as it it is very difficult to just fly to it on the radar.......HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP PLEEEEASSE.

In the map, hover the mouse over the object and press the T key. This will target the item. Leave the map and follow the white arrow.

when in the cockpit you can click on the "?" on the Radar/Map in the middle of your cockpit.

Not working my mappings are correct for joystick and keyboard the item is "asteroid unstable crystal" it is gray and cant be selected .. Right clicking says it is asteroid but cant select it hovering and pressing my mapped target button T or joystick button 4
does not work .. the keys and joystick work for any other objects. Thanks for your reply.
