Going to ask for refund, game missing something

Post by Nosscar »

Ok, i have seen a few threads asking for refunds, and i am agreeing with them now, i bought this game on steam, i am only 117 hrs into the game, so not much past the 2 hrs deadline, i know if i bought from GoG or egosoft i would have no chance, but hopefully steam will see my point and give me a refund.
Copy of my email to steam support.:

"Hi there you guys,
I know at steam you are very understanding and helpful as to refunds, and now as i have fully tested this game, and played 117 hrs, i feel that the game has a vital, game-breaking part missing, and cannot play this game as it was advertised to me by egosoft.
I can verify it is missing, and i can replicate that this feature is not in the game, and as such, i would like a full and complete refund, and also, some extra credits in my account by way of compensation for the time lost, and the stress suffered.
Failing this i will be contacting my solicitor, with a view to either a full refund from steam, or at the very least to take egosoft to court for my missing flux capacitor i was promised would be in the game, i have searched every trader in the galaxy, killed many, many Kha'ak and xenon, and can testify that this vital component is not in the game.
I feel confident you will rectify this issue as soon as possible
yours sincerely Nosscar."

I think the OP was very tongue-in-cheek, and it made me laugh. (As I am sure was his intention. :D )

I sincerely doubt either Nosscar nor Arghan was actually serious.

Im not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic ? If anyone criticized and give hard time to devs it would have been me but I had good reason and some evidence to back up my clam and I was pretty much right about game to some extent (it is buggy but it at least stable and playable ). Asking for money back because you cant build SETA ? That is just funny (I hope you are being sarcastic)… Anyway devs have been doing good job and if you asked them they will take look at it if it is a bug....

Edit: You got me there for a second :D

Edit 2: I want my money back because there is no pancake in game as promised

117 hours vs 2 hours. Figure it out. :)

P.s. by the way GOG does do refunds, but usually to a GOG wallet sometimes if you have no good reason or proof. But you need a good standing with them. Considering GOG is not a drm platform I`m quite happy with that.

1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

To be honest. I managed to build my seta but I'm not even using it. with the travelmode there is no need for me to use it anymore.
In X3 it was just plain boring for me to wait to get to one point to another without seta.

It would have been cool though, if you had really sent that to the Steam support. I'd love to read about their reaction, especially about the "extra credits" part.

 i know, sorry if i am a bit testy today, been a bad week for me, went out for a meal with the wife yesterday, spent £40 on a meal and a drink for us both, after fully testing and consuming the food, i realised i didn't really like it, i also ask for a refund for that, they calmly but forcibly escorted us both from the restaurant, some people these days, no perception of what good service means.

This makes much more sense now... Your wife is not happy that you are spending all the time with X4 and she is making you return it :D

How dare you all make fun of Nosscar's plight, you uncultured swine! 117 hours are nowhere near enough to see if you like a game or not! Steam should allow refunds for 2 years, at least, and they also need to allow us to refund games we bought elsewhere, and also the fugly chrstmas sweater I'll no doubt be getting. It's only fair! Steam treating it's customers like sheep has gone on long enough! Who cares about the huge sales, the free updates, the workshop mod support, the fast downloads, the free weekends, etc, when I can't even refund all the games I finished playing after 200 hours. We can't endure this treatment any longer! I will vote with my wallet and not buy Warframe or DotA 2, EVER!
