Hi,
Is there or will there be multi-monitor support?

Re: Multi-monitors
The game already works with multiple monitors provided there is appropriate driver support. There is a UI scaling option to help ensure things remain visible, though I believe there are one or two minor issues with this that still need ironing out.

Re: Multi-monitors
Hello,
i have 3 32 WQHD monitors with a surround resolution of 7880x1440. X4 works fine with that so far, like XR.
But there is one problem with the ui scaling. The minimum in the game menu is 0.5. This is stil too big. I've changed in the config.xml the entry <uiscale>0.5</uiscale> to 0.4 and this is perfect for me.
Regardless of whether 0.5 or 0.4 some text fields in cockpit view are too small, for example the text for "Flare" and speed "xxx m/s".

Re: Multi-monitors
While the game functions with 3 monitors, and the main graphics look good, but the real issue is having good GUI functionality and looks.
Right now with 3 monitors at 0.5, (5760x1080, bezel correction 0)

There are the following issues:
1. Briefings cannot be accepted. (The window doesn't pop up.)
2. The main storyline cannot be continued because the briefing tries to pop up, but in effect causes that you cannot show any menu or save, effectively forcing you to quit the game without saving, load an earlier save, start it in single screen, accept the mission and continue.
3. The UI is stretched over 3 monitors, while most people would prefer (at least an option) to have it on the center monitor)
E.g.
Logo selection looks pretty messed up this way.

But also the inventory:

Designing a base:

And many other screens.
A solution would be to allow the UI to be displayed on the center monitor, either by having another extra UI scale, so you could scale width as well as height.
Or by having it detect ultra wide / triple monitor automatically and only using the center monitor 1920x1080 in my case to display the GUI.
Or by being able to set width/height/offset for the GUI somewhere.

Re: Multi-monitors
There is a software add-on called "Flawless Widescreen" that i use with some games that works really well at resizing the GUI and fixes other issues on ultrawide resolutions. The main executable hasn't been updated in years, but the plugins for various games have been updated more recently.
