Restrict Faction Trade?
So I had thought this was a function to specify which Factions your ships and stations can trade with, however, looking at the button it seems to be an All or Nothing Trade Restriction? So this is the method of having you Stations only
"sell" to your own Traders?
So how would this even work if you have a Trader set to service the Station producing the end Wares? Would you have to set the prices on Station A (with Faction Restriction enabled) to entice your Trader to "buy" the lowest priced wares and trust that it will deliver those wares to your End Product Station instead of simply selling the wares to the next highest bidder?

Your question is a trick question and you didn't even realize it.Bellatormonk wrote: ↑Thu, 13. Re: Restrict Faction Trade?
So I guess that would mean the Player is a Faction as well and this function stops ALL faction trading lol...

Pretty sure it is meant to restrict what you buy and sell so you are not selling any intermediate products you may need and not buying any products you are already producing in the complex.
It would be nice to have a finer level of granularity with it so you could sell excess intermediates but as of now you just need to micro manage it a bit.

If they don't fix this by the time player wharfs/shiyards get added, its going to be an absolute shitshow.
Because to be able to produce and fully outfit ships on your own within reasonable time, we need to be able to set up automated inter-station logistics
Else we are going to have to have what, 22 production modules attached to your wharf? That is unreasonable

Autotraders need to be able to be restricted. I was just searching for a sector blacklist mod that stops traders from trading at certain sectors.

It's works perfectly fine.
Both my stations are using it.
If you set your own ships to trade with or distribute your wares, they will do so. They don't pay a thing, the price doesn't matter - they're yours!

Re: Restrict Faction Trade?
I just select my trader or courier, right click the station and set trade with station.
It then becomes a subordinate of that station and proceeds to trade that stations produced wares. If the station produces many things you can select in it's behaviour which wares it trades, too. For example I don't want my traders taking the Ore that my miners brings, as that's used to produce higher value goods.
I also having miners mining for my station using the same right click process.

For me it only works with a mod, in regular game I can not remove any wares from the auto station trader!bl3ek wrote: ↑Thu, 13. Dec 18, 10:31I just select my trader or courier, right click the station and set trade with station.

Hmm, the only thing I've see 'break' traders is if you set their gates/distance too short. If they don't have enough range, they will just sit around acting broken - but actually it's a player setting issue. Raising range by 1 usually fixes it.ApoxNM wrote: ↑Thu, 13. Re: Restrict Faction Trade?
When I set a trader to a station I can not manually change the wares which they trade. They just trade all wares from the station and start selling energy cells for 80 pieces each run. Only with the mod can I remove energy cells from the list so they actually go selling the Hull parts instead of the energy cells. It is absouletly annoying and I have no idea why you would so much over simplify the settings for sttion traders.bl3ek wrote: ↑Thu, 13. Re: Restrict Faction Trade?
Does anyone know what the "trade wares" is supposed to do?
My thinking was that the differance between auto trade and trade wares was:
Auto trade: ship buys low from anyone within range and sells to anyone within range.
Trade wares: move your shit beween your stations.
In game I find no differance to trade wares and auto trade?
