Hiho,
I have a problem with a capped ship, the engines just won't repair, so I finally had to sell it.
The Service crew and the captain were on board. I did put a frigate on watch and after a very long time (days and days), still nothing.
I remember from X-Rebirth at the beginning a similar bug, which was fixxed later on.

i had the same issue, so i got into my space suit and used my repair beam on one of them just to get it moving.
Even though i like u, i may be called upon to kill u one day, know it isnt personal when it happens

Uh, I guess I should have described it a bit better.
I had to destroy completely some things during the capping. They were so absolutely gone, that you can't repair them with the laser.
I tried this.
Maybe I shouldn't have done that. But I did. Did that in old X-Rebirth, too, and there you they would repair themselves, even if comepletely down, with a minimum crew. I put 9 of my guys in there, skilled with repairs, as service crew.
