1.32 Bug - Ship stuck changing equipment

I've got a save on the public 1.32 branch that has a pilot docked at the Trinity Sanctum III wharf. Before the pilot docked, I sent a command to buy and build another ship there which the station did not have resources to build. The pilot who docked was instructed to change equipment. The command to change equipment never finished and now the pilot is literally stuck there. I cannot command the ship to leave, I cannot sell the ship, I cannot take the seat from the NPC pilot, I cannot cancel the order to upgrade equipment. The ship is essentially held hostage by this defect.

I am in a similar situation. I went to Antigone Memorial Wharf, i piloted the ship (even though i also have a captain). I dock, buy a new ship (Pulsar Vanguard) move my captain from the previous ship to this new one. So far it all goes well. I get to the ship, the captain is there sitting, i can click the chair and he gets up. I sit. I got some more money from my miners, so i decide that i can improve the initial configuration that i made. I select the new engines, and stand up to wait. The captain comes and sit, and now the issue starts.

The ship is not improving due to lack of materials, no trouble with that, i will either cancel that or wait. I decide to wait for a bit (5 mins) and the materials do not come. I decide then to cancel it and move on to another Argon shipyard or Mod dock. I can't make the captain to stand up and let my pilot. If i hit comms, the options to stand up and fire appears as greyed out. If i try to sell the ship in the wharf, i can not due to it saying that it is waiting for some modifications to be made. I can not cancel de modification queue from the upgrade/modification tab (i click cancel, but nothing happens).

So, following this thread, hopefully it has answers for me too. :(

I had a similar issue in 1.20 when I wanted to trade wares between two of my ships. The ship which had the wares in storage did nothing in space. I couldn't cancel the order nor ask the captain to get out of his chair. When I looked at the captain a info box at the right told me: "waiting for drones".
I submitted the save to egosoft and they are looking into it.

Reassign the captain to service crew, then take the pilot seat then you can cancel the order in the informations second tab order thingy.

Little update on my issue.

I left the game running for an hour. I had a queue of 6 ships before my ship mod would be done. Before leaving (i stayed around 10 mins) i saw the counter lower from 6 to 5, so i thougth, "Ok, maybe there is a bug with the pilot and ship, but if the economy keeps going maybe the mod will be done and i will get the ship back".

After an hour i check the queue, and i see 6 ships again on it.


And burger1, i did that and i could get rid of the captain! Thanks a lot! Sadly i can't still cancel the modification. Even though i hit the cancel order button, it does nothing and the order stays.

Edit:

I also noticed some details. The ship seems to not be connected to the dock trough the orange tube thingie.

Also, what feels worst, it seems like some ships texture has dissapear at all, i see only the pilots and the orange tube extended. The collision volume is active though.

Last but not least, the game seems a bit stuck, most landing pads seems to be stuck. Rythmically, they appear to start the animation when a ship is docking/undocking (the little fumes that starts moving around the platform), but after a second with it, the animation calms down (it is not a sudden cut). I am not sure if this is only me realizing of some normal behaviour on the platform due to the extended time on the dock, but i do not remember having seeind this behaviour earlier.

I did the following and it "save" me, yet the station seems to stay stuck.

I got into one of the NPC ships so that they could take me out of the station. I did that so that, hopefully, they would go to another sector, and i could try to recall the ship. I simply got into the NPC ship, and i did not wait to leave the sector, i gave it a try earlier, set the captain i had in my ship, and told him to move to a random spot in the map. He made it!! And to my surprise, the equipment modifications where done as well. I EVA and waited for the ship to come to my position, and i am playing happily now.

I have to add that, before doing all of this, i put a new ship in the building queue, to see if it changed anything. The only thing it changed was that a new ship was added to the queue, but there seems to be a huge lack of resources that is not letting the shipyard produce anything. NPCs are not providing resources to it either, wich is a surprise.

I will check if i can supply with resources or if my traders get stuck there. Will update once i have news, and hope my experience helps anybody.

Forgive me for double posting, but since many hours have passed and maybe there are people interested in knowing more about the issue, i prefer to post again instead of just editing the earlier message.

I managed to craft a SETA during the game, i used it to speed the game time so that i could get my station builds faster. What a surprise to find out that the Drill i had ordered in Antigone (the stuck wharf) was constructed.

That means the game works, but sometimes the economy gets stuck. I am not sure why it got stuck in that place, maybe because it is a far system, so the NPCs do not find appealing to get there, but in the end, it wasn't a bug in a way that the game was completely broken, it just needed time, maybe a lot of time, but time in the end. Hopefully these issues can be fix so that they won't cause trouble to other players, and hopefully i have helped somebody with my experience.
