Turrets on Large ships uncontrollable?

Picked up a Pelican Freighter and noted that the turret interface is absent. They seem to just be set on attack nearby enemies, giving you no choice in the matter. Seems like a legit way to waste missiles when they aren't needed. Experiences?

Yep, this is 100% true. This is one reason why having capital ships are all but useless for now. The other reason being the broken turrets, lack of weapon loadout choices, etc. There are tons of discussions going on about this already. I guess this will be addressed....eventually :|
