Perpetual enemies spawning in PHQ zone [1.32]

Hello Egosoft

Since the last patch update [1.32], An unlimited torrent of Khaak, Xenon and Pirates from various factions keep spawning in Grand Exchange III (The location of the player HQ) I have been fighting for around 2 and a half hours and have destroyed well over 100 ships by now (which was actually quite fun!) although there is seemingly no end and prevents progressing further through the game.

I haven't seen any other reports of this happening so I cannot be sure if it is a unique glitch or not? - would I be better off starting from scratch as this save has been in effect since release day?

Despite this stalemate, I am still enjoying the game :)

Place lasertowers around the gates?

They don't actually come through the gates unfortunately, they just materialise out of thin air lol.

I like the idea though :P

According to the game mechanics, they shouldn't. Directly spawning in ships is a thing of the past (according to EGO). All ships (enemies or otherwise) are all created in-game by shipyards and wharves and then grouped and sent to invade or wage war in other sectors, at least that's how it's supposed to work anyway :sceptic:

Interesting,

Thanks for the reply, perhaps I should slap down some more satellites and monitor the situation :) - most of the sector security has been pummelled by now too and I've just got 3 corvettes trying to stave of the waves of enemies, interestingly the Khaak, Xenon and random pirates are fighting among themselves also it seems.

In fact, this is actually a huge bug (or a series of bugs as they put it) that was fixed in the latest patch, where enemies would simply go extinct because the shipyards weren't producing anything.
But now it seems they fixed it to OVERDRIVE where all faction's shipyards keep churning out fleets of ships en masse constantly and flooding the universe with carnage, death and destruction.

I guess a bit of fine tuning is still in order :roll:

The exception are Khaak ships
Because I believe hey haven't yet any stations or shipyards to produce their ships
So they must theoretically materialize out of thin air

If this ever ends it'll be a battle to rival 'The battle of Omicron Lyrae' from X3:TC and has become a memorable event of the game so far.

I have not seen them spawn in any alliance zones to date yet. I have sats everywhere. Xenon and the Khaak have a really good spread radius when coming into a system. I have watched them fly in get into a fight and without even finishing the fight venture around, etc. Kind of awesome as it adds more life to the game.

I'm in Teladi space - Ianamus Zura IV to be exact - and I've been seeing a fair few Kha'ak, Xenon and Scale Plate Pact pirates in the area. I'm not seeing where they're appearing from, but it doesn't seem to be from the connecting super highway. Perhaps they were around, in force, in a distant part of the system when I arrived.

There's more than one anomaly in that system and from what I observed they seem to come from the general direction of one of them. I don't have a constant wave though and there are patrols in the area that usually take care of them, but you could try long-range scanning, finding the anomalies and putting some laser turrets around them.

I can't do anything in a spacesuit, because my damn ship keeps getting destroyed while I'm trying to repair a sat or whatever.

I took over the two central fringe zones, but since the update I have given up on them, the spawn in those fringe zones is constant, you kill one enemy and a new one appears, non stop. I was trying to setup patrol carriers to clean the area, but carriers can't move in asteroid zones and I kept running into issues of loosing rep with factions, even while it was a fringe zone with me as owner.

It's turning into another version of indestructible shipyards, a game mechanics that can't be beaten.

1. There are Kha'ak stations spread throughout the universe. They don't have the classic upkeep to produce ships, but they do play by similar rules to Xenon.

2. Anomalies have nothing to do with ships being teleported. If the player wanders off, some npc ships (both friendly and foe) will be teleported in his general direction. These ships aren't spawned from thin air, they are just replaced there to simulate life.

3. Xenon ships go through the gate system and they even utilize the highways. Although, in limited numbers shamely. Most of the xenon ships you will see are teleported to you. Kha'ak ships don't use the gates by lore, and in fact, they could have some shiny jumpdrive effects like they used to have before.

Okay with some messing about I think its resolved itself.

I had to drop my cargo (then I shot it) this has at least prevented the pirates from continually asking me to drop it. Now they are just fighting with the Xenon and Khaak invaders.

Sending my 3 corvettes out of sector seems to also have stopped the non-stop stream of aggro I was getting at the HQ.

Interestingly, when I started a new game, right off the bat there was Khaak, Xenon and pirates having a shooting party in the starting sector.

I too have noticed enemies misteriously appearing in several sectors. And i think its GREAT!
The game was a snooze fest with nothing to shoot at, no reason to buy warships, and the overal "Fight" aspect missing.

Are they just spawning instead of "being produced by the economy starting from ore mined of asteroids"? honestly, who cares! this made the game fun again! :)

Confirmed. This happens in my game as well although this KHK+Xen spam and magic spawn occurs in Pious VII. There is a KHK Installation in the Sector as well although it has no shields, no weapons and does not take damage. The KHK ships don't seem to come from it..they just appear in the sector near it. The Xen just appear as well.

It's a fairly steady stream and spawn of fighters and mediums by the looks. I have a Wing with 5 Fighters and 1 Vette in the area but the fighters don't seem to "Protect" the Vette..they just follow and ignore the reds unless fired upon individually.
