Finding SETA parts
Now that 1.32 has fixed enemy ships spawning, I've been working on hunting down parts for SETA.
I'm starting to wonder if the particular parts aren't tied to specific enemy types or regions? I say this because I am still trying to find a Flux Capacitor, but I now have 3x Damaged Singularity Engine and 10x Programmable Field Arrays.
I wonder if the reason, particularly for so many Programmable Field Arrays, has to do with the fact that I have been camping one particular gate and just killing any Xenon that come through.
Did anyone else notice this? Or am I just having some dumb luck?

Re: Finding SETA parts
I only found my Flux Capacitor in a Data Vault, having several bits of other things from enemy drops.
If you're desperate there's a list of the vaults on the spoiler board.

Flux capacitors drop from Xenon and Kha-ak. You can either go hunt their ships or farm drones at a Xenon station. Both will require you to enter Xenon space, so bring the cavalry if you're running the latest Beta, as the Xenon actually build ships now and Xenon sectors should now be full of hostile ships.

Re: Finding SETA parts
Go to a xenon zone or find a xenon. Find some enemies then save your game and then blow them up. If what you want doesn't drop then reload. It's not so bad now that we actually have noticeable enemy spawns. Also be aware that for stuff to go to the player inventory the player must tractor beam the stuff in themselves. Player inventory items that you tell your crew to pick up aren't added to your player inventory they just disappear.

I've killed maybe 30-40 xenon and kha'ak ships, and I've yet to find a single damaged singularity drive.

Same... I can make any mod I want a couple of times, I have billions in my account, I have 100+traders, 50+ military ships, 10000's crew, 150hours... I guess it's called a "single-rarity" in the whole damn universe.

Re: Finding SETA parts
As of 1.32, you could look for a "war zone" where fighting should happen occasionally. Usually, that's the space around a gate to a Xenon sector or whatever sectors HOP is bordering with. Keep in mind inventory loot in space de-spawns so you might want to position some scout ships near those gates and teleport to them, given you have teleport researched that is.
Another cheaty way is to find a loot box and save before opening it, open it, reload if you don't get the part.

Ahahahah I spent 10+ hours killing Xenon got the capital ship killing, capital part killing, 128 Xenon killing and whatever else achievements before I got 1 flux capacitor. At this point I had over 134 of the shielding something something and I made millions on selling the extra.

lol, i have the cap ship killing, but not the turret/shield killing yet. I imagine I'll get that soon at the current rate, before I get the drive.Arze wrote: ↑Wed, 12. You can get them from killing any type of Xeon. I got all mine from Xeon repair drones.

shift + 4. It's like a ship mode like scanning, travel mode. Need to be the pilot.CanadianBrit wrote: ↑Thu, 13. Dec 18, 04:06Dillius wrote: ↑Tue, 11. Dec 18, 19:41 Now that 1.32 has fixed enemy ships spawning, I've been working on hunting down parts for SETA.

I had 2 flux capacitor drops last night from Xenon and khak.
However, I asked one of my AI fighters to collect. They did. And guess what, I don't see flux capacitors in my storage? Why?

Does this mean, that you can't use it together with travel mode?
EDIT: Found the answer myself

Re: Finding SETA parts
Got the same issue here, killed tons but no damaged drive yet. The worst part is that i had it, but while flying back to a station the game crashed. I knew i had to save haha
I'd prefer to beable to buy it than being Lucky.

I took me 122 Xenon kills, and 47 Kha'ak kills, but I finally got my Damaged Singularity Drive.... heh. I think that's just horrible luck on my part...

Auto collect does not work for inventory items, just cargo and consumables (like missiles)
