Need help repairing standing with HAT.

Took a mission a long while back which caused me to kill a bunch of HAT-lasertowers which ended up sending me to -10 standing
with them, and since they are next door to Argon Prime and on the way to Teladi, everytime i take the highway, i get combat music..
And they're also actually an Argon faction and not pirates AFAIK, so i really want to get the faction in good standings.

I spent about 2 hours today flying around their stations and hoping for a "criminal" to spawn... but nothing.
I flew to Haticvah's Faith and killed a bunch of Xenon+Khaak, no rep gained at all.
I flew around their stations and picked up missions from scans, ended up doing about 5 "wetwork" missions against other factions,
but i gained no rep at all with HAT...

So , what should i do to repair this faction-rep ?. There must be something except fiddling with my savefile - which i consider cheating.

Welcome to the club. Have the same 'competition' and decided to leave it as it is (-14). If they attack me i shoot back. Still thinking of blew them completly off (Tradehub and Sec Station) ... but its not what you asked for. Havent found an answer to the question since they have no real enemy in the verse.

Unless they are firing on you on sight then you should be able to trade with them and increase.

Kill HAT's enemy's in HAT sector's and you will earn there trust once more.

Once the new 1.32 patch drops i would think Xenon will start poring out of the gate leading to their sectors. Setup a patrol there or pile a load of laser towers.

Not sure if civilian criminal mass traffic spawns around their stations either, waited around 3 different stations of their's for about 5 min each (with SETA active too), and didn't see a single one spawn Just hope a Xenon flies nice and close to their station so you can take it out for them

Either that, or just wipe them out...
