turrets not working on new destroyer i brought

i brought this pheonix vanguard and i brought turrents for it i have full crew for it and the turrents dont seem to work, i dont even get any icons at the top of my screen people are saying im suppose to see for them

Firstly, there is currently a known bug with ships that have turret groups (L and XL ships) not having the turret controls displayed. That said, they are working, they are just perpetually stuck in 'defend' mode.

Secondly, there is no 'n' in 'turret'.

but i switched to external view mode "f2 f3" and it wasent even shooting in defence i raided a red system and i was the only ship there

I'm having the same problem is this a recognised bug they are working on? Because I spent all my money on this ship and so far it's only got 2 guns that work

It's really hard to help people with so little information. What ship did you buy, and what do you mean by "not working"? If it's a large ship (L or XL sized) then the turrets do not appear as icons but they do automatically defend the ship.

ok cool info: argon destroyer and when im controlling the ship the turrets dont work regardless of any icon... not even to defend the ship

and strange enough I was able to control one of my docked ships weapons (small beam 2) as well as my destroyers main guns... but this didnt help because it was just shooting the destroyers hull because of the position it was docked in... the pilot would keep saying ohhh my bad for shooting you (or something along those lines)

HOWEVER!

If I tell my captain controlling the ship to patrol an area the turrets do work... just not if I pilot the ship
