I watched the video for 1.5 and 2.0, and a big piece in it was a response to "complaints" about the size of the universe. The narrator goes on to explain that there are stations and things to find beyond the default hex borders of the sectors as seen in the map view.
So if there's so much more to the universe than we initially see, can I ask that the "explore" command be given some attention, since it is currently so broken as to be essentially unusable? Perhaps a return to the previous X games' system of simply asking how far from 0,0,0 to go in the sector and it just flies a pattern until it has explored that volume and then moves on to the next sector? A queue of "Fly to ..." commands in a pattern should not be a more efficient way of mapping a sector than an actual "explore ..." command.

There's already two auto explore mod/scripts to use it's possible the devs will look at those and see how to do it in a manageable way.

Also, those of us that use mods that reveal all the stations in a sector, can tell you there's not much out there. At least, no stations (with just very rare exceptions that look more like derps in the spawn/build scripts that sometime come up with bigger numbers than expected). There might be some other little secret, that's for sure (actually, they already said there is), and in a long running game new stations MIGHT be built there, but so far this would seem pretty much it.
To be completely honest, this sounded to me a bit more like your classic Bethesda line "our new game has 4 times the map size of the previous one!", except it's empty

Sad part is they already tarnished their rep... At least we know that ES was gonna release a bug filled game, it's been that way since forever, but the devs here are very quick on fixing things.Kadatherion wrote: ↑Tue, 11. Actually the queue of "Fly to" does not find everything! In fact it has a tendency to not see those gigantic ass rings that punt you across space for some inexplicable reason, or those gigantic hulking massive stations if they are not exactly at the 0 galactic plane. I remember hunting for the last sector and I went to HOP space only to find over 50 new stations in the already explored area of space in multiple sectors. BTW I have all 47 main and all sub sectors and yet to get my Explorer achievement.jcdick1 wrote: ↑Tue, 11.
