How do i manually fly my capital ship

I bought a argon TL vessel and it comes with a captain but as I cannot figure out how to get her to fly where I want to go I would like to just fly my capital ship myself, other wise whats the point in owning one right. I was super excited to fly my own capital ship from that massive bridge, but cant figure out how to gain control.

Talk to the captain as the captain is in the chair just like a regular pilot is. And simply take their place
