Request - 2 second charge time for L freighters?

Hiya. First of all massive respect to modders out there. I cant make head or tail of how to mod this game! I was hoping to apply the awesome Pimp my ship mods to my super slow L freighter. it has a 30 second charge time for travel mode and I liked the idea of reducing that a LOT. sadly the engines dont take mods! Can this be changed somehow? Alternatively could the charge time for the ships be reduced? I found a macro fro the arg XL all round engine and tried to make a we mod but it did nothing. this is hard! any help would be most appreciated.
