I try to deploy laser towers, thinking they act in the same way as satellites and nav beacons. For some reason, they then spawn docked with my ship, and I can't get them to deploy.
This is with the free Cerberus I got from the freighter escort mission, it came pre-loaded with laser towers.
What's up with laser towers?

Yes we have found that when ships bigger than Mediums try to deploy Tower now via an AI Pilot they spawn as "Docked" in the ship. If you deploy as the Pilot they go fine. The get them to deploy when stuck in Docking, go to the Info tab of the Tower and hit "Proceed with Orders". They apparently are stuck on "Undock" and when forced to Proceed..they deploy..
