So the feature in question is highly distractive and cuts FPS in map mode approximately in half.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Sun, 9. Dec 18, 21:24 If you feel that the 'working as designed' display of information from very-friendly faction ships is any or all of overpowered, unwanted, distracting and affecting performance (as you obviously do) then please raise a separate report on that which others can comment on and then we'll see if the devs will get involved in adjusting it. Thanks.
It makes controlling your own property via the map pretty much impossible if it happens to be in somewhat populated sectors,
since you literally can't see anything underneath NPC route lines and crew stats, that are shown constantly without even selecting any NPC ships.
With ASUS GeForce GTX 1050Ti being my video card, before reaching a level of reputation that reveals NPC routes (25+), my FPS in map mode was fluctuating between 20 and 25,
now, when this unnecessary and unasked for information is being all over my screen, FPS in map mode hardly ever reaches 10, when looking at somewhat populated sectors.
Visual evidence (Grand Exchange I):
The most logical thing that can be done with this "working as designed" feature is to make it switchable.
Just like there is a switch to turn off all the ship routes, including ones of player-owned ships, there should be one to turn off display of NPC-owned ship routes/info.
