[1.3, Bug] Using container magnet while close to crystals produces wonky physics

Details:
When collecting crystals, the closer you are to them, the more likely that the container magnet will launch them into oblivion. This effect is amplified if they are already moving towards you (for example, tapping O twice when you are near them).

Video 1: Youtube 1
Video 2: Youtube 2
(Be sure to watch the map.)

Sometimes, the effect is strong enough that the crystals will disappear without collection (much frustration when you lose burnite). The container icon can be seen moving to the bottom of the screen and then disappearing.

The disappearing items will not appear in the inventory.

I have not confirmed whether or not this happens to dropped containers from ships. I will update if I am able to test it. (Update: can happen with containers, though less commonly.)

had the same issue, realized the ship inventory was full, getting rid of the cargo solved the problem for me

It occurs for me regardless of inventory levels. In the videos I had just started mining and had barely 15 crystals collected yet. Ship cargo bay is empty, despite crystals going to the personal inventory (not sure why it isn't a cargo hold item).

The magnet is horribly glitchy, keep the button pressed until you get whatever you're collecting, can easily take up to 30 seconds for the drop to randomly actually hit the ship while it's teleporting around it at light speed.'
Doesn't matter if it's ship cargo or inventory items, it all glitches to hades and back.

Was a problem from day one too, but this bug is probably far down the "to do" list.

That's what I've taken to doing. Not a great experience, but the silliness makes it endurable.
