Why are there TEL Teladi and MIN Teladi ships? Why are there PAR Paranid and HOP Paranid ships?
Basically, what does TEL, MIN, PAR, and HOP mean? I thought TEL meant Teladi and PAR meant Paranid but then there's MIN and HOP?
Question on ships

Re: Question on ships
There are 2 paranid factions, HOP and the godrealm and they are supposed to be in a civil war. MIN is a faction of teladi. They have a few stations but no sectors i think. Their ships are similar but have different stats.

Thanks! Odd how a ship that looks exactly the same can perform so differently.

Re: Question on ships
From what I read on the forum:
MIN - Ministry of Finance - kinda police/military subfaction of Teladi
HOP - Holy Order of Pontifex rebel paranid faction hostile to PAR.
ALI - Alliance of the World another paranid sub-faction, allied with PAR but nothing more known, they have their own shipyards/wharfs that offer special ships
ANT - Antigone Republic - former member state of Argon Federation that become independed faction after gate shutdown, now they are separate but closely allied with Argon Federation
HAT - another argon subfaction, kinda anarchist/poor/borderline pirate?
