I bought Standard edition via Steam, and I want upgrade it to Collector's. How to do so?

I think the only way to do so is to refund and buy the CE.

That's the only way until Egosoft adds an Upgrade button.

I mean you can send a request to Steam explaining to them that you want to change from the standard to the collector's and just maybe they will allow it. The "maximum" is 2 hours, though I know you can sometimes get the refund if you've played more than that depending on the circumstances around the request. If less than 2 hours played and less than a month since purchase(iirc) I believe there are just no questions asked.

I did once refund a basic game then buy back the Collector`s or special edition cos I liked a game so much. I think it was Xcom 2 actually.

I bought the whole thing (very dangerous as I don`t often take such risks), but I had a good feeling about this one, especially since it was out on GOG.

and putting the following in your cart:
Buy X4: Foundations Collector's Edition Content
