Hi Developers,
just a few bugs that I have found (using version 1.30 323986). It is quite possible that some of these may be due to my ignorance and would appreciate if you let me know if they are:
1. From the map screen, ordering a ship with a NPC captain to "collect drops" in space that are inventory items (e.g Spacefly eggs). There is no way to get these from the pilot.
2. From the map screen, ordering a ship with a NPC captain to Deploy at position->military->laser tower Mk2". The laser tower appears to just follow the ship around. If you queue these up, you just have a trail of them follow you around until you jump through a gate. If you select the laser tower, sometimes there is an execute current orders option for the tower which will release them but sometimes that option isn't there.
3. Sometimes a NPC miner assigned to a player owned station, will end up way way above the map just sitting there.
4. From the map screen, I selected an NPC piloted destroyer to attack an enemy station. It had the high preset loadout (lots of defence drones and turrets). It just moved to range and then just slowly moved around but never attacked (or was attacked).
5. With a player owned builder set to Default Behaviour:Find Build Tasks. I will add new sections to my station but the builder never comes unless I manually assign it to the station.
6. I have seen one case where (before this patch) where a fleet of allies ships attack a Xenon station. I had a mine or two nearby so I could observe but had no ships in that sector. The station had 0 health and they were attacking repeatedly for hours and hours. Once I showed up with a ship and got close, it was destroyed.
7. Currently if I change the loadouts to high preset on all of my station modules, I cannot save the game. It crashes during the save process if I do quick save or if I try and manually save in a couple of different save slots. If I don't update my station, it will save ok. N.B. My station is a mega station where I have pretty much every module that I can build on one station.
8. When adding a loadout to modules on a station. I select high preset and it will only add some turret groups and leave others empty. If I keep selecting high preset, then it cycles random group to be set and others are blank. I have about 120-150 modules on my station including connector modules.
9. When creating and saving your own loadout for a ship. It doesn't save the number of crew.
And some suggestions:
1. When I ask a piloted craft to "explore" a new sector, it moves there and very slowly inches around at a snails pace. It is better for me to set a number of waypoints using the "Move To" command to clear the fog of war (as it uses travel speed). It would be great if the ship would do this automatically.
2. ship autopathing needs some work. Ships just bump into stations repeatedly. I know that this feature can be tricky with so much station customisation.
3. Is there a way to collect and move mines and laser towers after they have been deployed?
4. Is there a way to repair laser towers using repair drones on a NPC piloted ship or do you have to use a space suit?
5. The encyclopedia needs some work. Some entries pretty much have no description. Also since there is so little help and minimal tutorials, this would be a great place to show how to do many of the things in the game.
6. When building a massive station: (a) after changing the loadout on a station module, it scrolls back to the start of the module list on the right hand side. Once you have a heap of modules and you want to go through them and update them all.. this becomes very tedious as you have to scroll down and find where you were up to. (b) There needs to be a way to select all modules and update all module loadouts to low medium or high (weapons and shields) with one click.
I would love to add screen shots or other info if there was a way.
