[REQUEST] Remove/Replace the Highways!

i'm really hoping someone out there can do the community a huge favor and remove the highways from the game,a nd replace them with gates.

As someone who's played mostly X3 and entirely skipped R, I really do not appreciate the highways being in here, and feel they severely detract from the feeling of being in a massive galaxy, as everything and everywhere, is just a quick ride on the highway away....

Am I the only one who feels this way?

You're definitely not alone as i would like them replaced with gates too. I actually like how they're implemented in X4 vs X3 but they make the galaxy too small so they gotta go!

I don't really mind the superhighways/accelerators etc (all the ones that act more or less like gates)

I hate the normal highways though (the weird blue floating roads).

One of the most popular mods for X Rebirth was remove highways mod, so you are definitely not alone
