Request for Assistance with Argon 3-Dock T

Good Evening,

I'm having some trouble in figuring out how to add the Argon 3-Dock T to my PHQ. I can make it "legal" by having it disconnected from the station, but attempting to connect it to any of the access points makes it illegal. Am I supposed to have it free floating in space?

Would someone be able to offer some assistance in how I'm supposed to use this blueprint? The encyclopedia is frustratingly light on what it's for but it looks like a dock for L class ships and above so I'd really like to get it added to the PHQ...

Any help would be appreciated.

It doesn't matter how far out I build the connections to make sure there's enough space, or how far up, it's considered not legal placement.... I'm absolutely not sure what I need to do for this, or is there a special kind of connection I don't have the BP for?

yeah, it wasnt easy but it worked, the point is that it must not hang out of the station boundaries. i put it somewhere where it was green as close to a connection point as possible and made a connection between the dock and the stations

Just figured it out. You cannot connect it to a cross, nor directly to one of the free build points, nor to the vertical. Of the BP's I have, you can only connect it directly to the BASE piece....... *le sigh*

Edit - Apparently you CAN connect it to a cross.... I have no idea what the hell it was doing, I built it out further than I have. Working now though so what the hell

the issue you were having was that your pier did not have clearance. in your picture, do you see the long rectangular boxes at the end of each pier? you cannot have anything interesect inside those boxes because big ships need to use that space to fly through. You had 2 of them basically going through your station.

i did already connect one to a cross so thats not the case, t pier seems to work odd but it doesnt depend on this kind of exceptions

I had a similar issues with the 3 point pier and simply used the single point piers to make a 3 pointer. Was much easier.
