[Feature request] return rebirth's clubs, barracks, brigs and the other socal locations to stations and ships

though i don't miss the walking simulator that was navigating stations, but stations (and now m+ ships since we can now walk around them,) feel even more empty and the "elevator" a wasted opportunity outside of key faction facilities.

aside from fulfilling immersion on your ships and stations when they are manned by large crews it makes finding and hiring additional specific positions much easier than the chasing npcs around the hanger (there might be an easier way in some menu that i haven't stumbled upon) or buying wares from passing traders.

I'd second this. Mainly because I have seen exactly one bar in ~15 hours of play and not one black market guy so far...

Also, stations do feel quite dead at the moment, so a bit of life would be nice. Maybe some market stalls on the landing docks or food vendors, or even a habitation deck with a player apartment. Something to make the stations feel a bit more lived in. NOT the strip clubs on every station from Rebirth though, that felt out of place and a bit weird.

Seconded on all fronts. I prefer Rebirths stations, while I like X4's docks, but they are needlessly big and empty. The best of both worlds would be great.

Yes, i hope someday there's more life. But, egosoft had not enough employees (20) to make this huge mass of content but players want to walk on the stations.
i hope, we as community can help like in other x games, despite its not our job.

if i was egosoft, i would start a "Fan Content Contest" or something similar.

what start is this, the starts i had to pick from was the newbie, trading and combat starts

i would be satisfied if they just ported the rebirth room assets and connected them to short hallways (for the case of multiple barracks) and/or the elevator

I used a mod to unlock the gamestarts and there is a 4th named start called "The Betrayed Mercenary". The description said you start with no money, no ship and you're an enemy to the HOP.

Well, the start as it was when I tried it, wasn't finished, you weren't an enemy with the HOP and you had a ship.
I'd love Egosoft to make the start as described.

But this is off topic to the thread.

The announcer talks about restaurants, medical facilities, etc... but we can`t get to them. It would be nice to at least stop by a bar, order a drink, sit down and watch the sexy lady dancers while considering our next port of call.
1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
