1.30 BUG Boarding Pods wayfinding is broken

Apparently Bording pods can only fly at max speed and have a trash turn radius.
I tried to claim an empty ship that spawned with a minefield and I got this:

Fly a few KM away or to a nearby sector. The capture should complete successfully.

that problim seems for all missles - they often start circling around target, not able to hit it, and occasionally run out of fuel and explode :(

I second it. v 1.31 Beta 1 (GOG), missiles and boarding pods cannot connect with the target.

Or just buy the same ship and pretend it was the captured one.
How on Earth all this crap slipped through QA?

I had the same problem and finally gave up waiting and boarded the ship myself. The problem, then, is that I had no way of getting the boarding pod back. I tried to tell it to dock on the ship I was on. That failed. So, I fired the marine on the pod thinking the pod would go away. It did not. Now, I have a boarding pod in my property that I cannot control or get rid of. I even tried to fly over to it and destroy it. My weapons pass through it harmlessly.

So:
1. Boarding Pod pathfinding needs to be fixed
2. Need a way to eliminate empty boarding pods
